Our team of six experienced professionals brings decades of construction and HVAC expertise with most technicians having over 20 years in the field. As a family owned, operated and managed company, customer service sets us apart because you can speak directly with the owner at any time. We meet homeowners in their homes, listen carefully and design systems that fit their needs, budget and long-term comfort goals. We proudly serve the Des Moines Metro and surrounding communities with professionalism, integrity and pride in every job.

Our Team
Jed Finley, Owner
Jed has been in the industry for over 20 years. His knowledge of the industry is vast, he started his career with the framing and insulating of homes, then into HVAC calculations of new home constructions, as well as the Energy Efficiency of homes.
In his free time, Jed enjoys going on exotic hunts with his wife, Hollie and their two children, running his Walker Coonhounds and watching their children play on many different competitive sports teams. His love for sports doesn’t stop there; you can find him watching the Iowa State Cyclones and Las Vegas Raiders when he has the chance.
Jed believes in loyalty and family. He strives to make sure all aspects of After Shock Heating and Cooling meet the standard as such, turning clients into lifelong family and friends.
Corissa Franken, COO
Corissa brings 20 years of experience in the HVAC industry, complemented by a strong aptitude for numbers and accounting. In 2019, she earned her Master’s degree in Accounting from Drake University and went on to obtain her CPA certification. Corissa resides in Clive with her husband, Greg, their youngest son, and their dog, PJ. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, attending her son’s lacrosse games, spending time outdoors, and camping.
Brett Reisinger, Residential New Construction Manager
Brett has over 20 years of experience in the industry after completing his education at DMACC. Brett is known to joke around; especially with his twin brother. He lives with his wife, Melissa, and two children on their family farm. Brett enjoys cheering on the Green Bay Packers and the Iowa State Cyclones. You can also find him challenging his kids in a go-kart race! He is a strong believer in never giving up and he jumps at the chance to prove any naysayers wrong.
Adam Sparks, Service Technician
Adam has been a Service Technician for 20+ years. He comes to us with ample experience in new construction installs, existing unit replacements as well as servicing units in both residential and commercial settings.
During his free time, Adam enjoys spending time with his girlfriend and her son, riding bicycles, running his RC trucks and experimenting with his 3D printer.
Adam enjoys being a Service Technician because of the challenge that presents itself when a unit has failed, working diligently and effectively to get the unit running again.
Hollie Finley, Marketing/Social Media Manager
While Hollie is new to the HVAC Industry, she is looking forward to learning the ins and outs of the business. She comes to us with a background in Paralegal and Administrative studies, as well as a career in Photography.
In her free time, Hollie enjoys spending time with her friends and family, hosting events and holidays. Most of the time you can find her court side with her husband, Jed, watching or coaching their children while they pursue their love for competitive sports. In addition, she enjoys decorating their home, and antique shopping.
As the Marketing and Social Media Manager, Hollie will ensure all homes completed by AFTER SHOCK Heating and Cooling are photographed and showcased on our website and social media platforms, as well as finding new ways to advertise for our clients in the Des Moines Metro area.
Jeremiah Melson, Installer
Jeremiah has been in HVAC Industry for 19 years! In his free time, he and his wife, Michelle, enjoy spending time with their two sons. Their eldest son, Ethan, plays in the Urbandale marching band, and they really enjoy watching him conquer that feat. Their youngest son, Lucas has recently gotten into watching the NFL, and has the whole family doing so with him. However, they are a house divided! Mom and Ethan are fans of the Minnesota Vikings (SKOL!), while Lucas and Jeremiah prefer none other than the Detroit Lions!
Brice Reisinger, Installer
Brice is excited to begin his journey with After Shock Heating & Cooling. He comes to us with over 20 years of hands-on experience in the HVAC industry. He started installing heating and cooling systems at the age of 17, working during his summers. When he turned 18, he went to DMACC to further his education in HVAC. Brice is passionate about delivering quality service and outstanding work.
Outside of his day to day work life, he enjoys off-roading in his side-by-side with family and friends, making the most of his time outdoors.
Jerome Mesecher, Installer
Jerome has been in the HVAC industry for 15 years! He completed classes at Vatterott and ABC to complete his journeyman license. Jerome has five children, and they are his reason for working so hard. Jerome played hockey for 20 years, and you can find him cheering on the Colorado Avalanche in his free time. In addition, he enjoys rooting for the Kansas City Chiefs and the Iowa Hawkeyes!
